Sheffield Wednesday youngster Alex Hunt had a day to remember yesterday as he struck a last minute winner for Grimsby Town.

The 21-year-old has been highly-rated at Hillsborough over the years but he has struggled to break into the XI. Therefore, it was decided he would go out on loan, until January initially, to the National League side.

And, Hunt has begun well, starting the Mariners first three games, with his best moment so far undoubtedly coming in the 4-3 win over Barnet yesterday.

In a dramatic game, Grimsby were trailing 3-1 before drawing level going into stoppage time. Then, in the 92nd minute, Hunt stepped up to a free-kick before expertly curling over the wall to ensure his side won the points.
