Leeds United are among a number of clubs considering a loan swoop for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay in January, according to the Sun.

Preston and Bolton are also keen on a loan move for the impressive 21-year-old star, and it could be a real coup for a Championship side if they were able to seal the services of the Man United man.

Would this be a wise move by Leeds? Do the Whites need a player like McTominay in their squad?

We discuss...

Alfie Burns

Wow, What a coup this would be.

As a Leeds supporter, this is exactly the calibre of player you want to see linked with your club.

Yes, McTominay is raw, but he could seriously improve Christiansen’s squad.

Although Leeds aren’t exactly short of midfield options, this would be an exciting addition in the New Year.

Chris Gallagher

Sign him up, Christiansen!

The midfielder is extremely talented and has caught the eye of Jose Mourinho who has used him in the first-team squad on many occasions this season, which says a lot.

McTominay is strong, physical and could excel in the Championship. With a host of clubs interested, would United send him elsewhere given how Borthwick-Jackson has struggled at Elland Road though?

George Dagless

It's a risk.

McTominay looks but so did Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and look how that has gone.

Even so, it probably is worth the risk and so we could just see another Leeds-Manchester United deal being struck.
