Queens Park Rangers battled to a goalless draw when they travelled to Swansea City on Tuesday night.
Mark Warburton’s side managed to end a run of four consecutive defeats to ensure that the R’s didn’t continue to slip further down the Championship table.
QPR have struggled throughout the campaign when it comes to keeping clean sheets. Tuesday night’s result means that it is just the fourth time this season that the R’s have kept out the opposition.
QPR’s downfall throughout the current season has been the number of goals they’ve conceded. The club have let in 56 goals in 32 matches meaning they have the third-worst defensive record in the whole of the Championship.
The clean sheet on Tuesday was earned with a different defence that had played the previous four fixtures. Yoann Barbet, Angel Rangel and Ryan Manning all came into the starting XI, and produced a battling defensive display that ensured the R’s did not concede.
Here’s how QPR supporters reacted to earning just their fourth clean sheet of the season…

Barbet absolutely rock solid. Could have made subs earlier. It’s a clean sheet not the worst result.

Clean sheet. That will do.

Clean sheet was key, good away point! #QPR

Take a point considering we were written off. Barbet was quality tonight, good to have him back. I can’t see us scoring in many games as we don’t have a predator. But keep the clean sheets and we are fine.

While I’m happy with the clean sheet, that was an opportunity badly missed.
