Barnsley have completed the signing of Belgian U21 international Aaron Leya Iseka from French outfit Toulouse.

The 23-year-old, who joins for an undisclosed fee, has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with The Tykes, but his arrival is subject to international clearance.

Iseka spent last season on loan in France's top division with FC Metz. In 21 appearances, that consisted of 12 starts, the young forward netted four times in the league and added another in the cup.

Progressing through the ranks with Anderlecht, Iseka made his first-team debut just after his 17th birthday, scoring his first senior goal a month later.

Spells with Marseille and Zulte Waregem followed his burst onto the first-team scene at Anderlecht, but he permanently headed for France in 2018, with Toulouse acquiring his services.

In three years with Toulouse, the Belgian striker netted six times in 48 outings, before heading out on loan to Metz.

The forward has also scored goals in the Europa League, including a late winner against Italian giants Lazio three years ago.

Iseka now embarks on a new challenge in a new country and at 23 years old, he has a long career ahead of him.
