Nottingham Forest have confirmed that forward Ben Brereton has moved to Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year old moved to Ewood Park in August, initially on a loan deal which has now been made permanent by Tony Mowbray's men - in a deal reportedly worth up to £7million.

The Forest academy graduate has since made just two starts in a total of seventeen appearances for the Lancashire club, failing to find the back of the net since his arrival from Forest.

Brereton burst onto the scene in the 2016-17 season under caretaker manager Gary Brazil, and came off the bench to score a late winner against Aston Villa in what was only his third senior appearance for the Reds, but went on to score just nine goals in over fifty appearances for the Reds - somewhat failing to live up to expectations.
