Luton Town are preparing a bid for Charlton Athletic winger Alfie Doughty, according to reputable journalist Alan Nixon.

The Hatters pulled off a fantastic turnaround following the season's resumption and survived the drop down to League One under Nathan Jones.

Charlton, meanwhile, were relegated on the final day of the season after a 4-0 defeat to Leeds United at Elland Road, with the club potentially set to lose some of their key players ahead of next season.

The 20-year-old was a bright player under Bowyer this season, scoring two goals and chipping in with three assists in 29 Championship appearances for the Addicks.
