Preston North End defender Greg Cunningham has today signed a new contract with the Lilywhites until the summer of 2023, with the club taking to Twitter to announce the news.
A left back by trade, the Irishman has played a total of nine games for North End since arriving at the club back in January and has proved to be a dependable option on the flanks of the backline for the first few months of his time in Lancashire.
As a result of this, he has now been handed improved terms, as he had originally only signed a contract with the club until this coming summer.
Naturally the news of Cunningham signing on a longer term basis spread quickly and soon enough there was plenty of reaction from the Deepdale faithful on social media.
Preston North End quiz: Does Deepdale have a higher or lower capacity than these 18 grounds?
Here, we take a look at some of the best responses to the announcement via Twitter earlier today.
