‘Wow’, ‘Don’t blame him’ – Many Bristol City fans react over recent transfer admission from Robins midfielder

A number of Bristol City supporters have been reacting to recent comments from Kasey Palmer suggesting that he could be open to a permanent switch to Swansea City.
Palmer was deemed surplus to requirements by Dean Holden in the summer and allowed to make a loan move to Championship rivals Swansea City.
That came after the 24-year-old managed to make just 11 league starts last term under Lee Johnson and struggled to find much consistency to his game, in what was a frustrating campaign for the mercurial talent.
The attacker has been used largely from the bench by Steve Cooper so far this season since arriving on loan at Swansea, but the 24-year-old has managed to average one successful dribble and 0.9 key passes per game despite his limited number of starts (Sofascore). Palmer has proved to be a go-to player for the Welsh club to try and unlock tiring defences in the closing stages of games.
Quiz: Which club did Bristol City sell each of these 20 players to?
The 24-year-old’s long-term future at Bristol City is up in the air at the moment, and speaking to Dai Sport during the week, he had suggested that he could be open to a permanent move away to Swansea in January so that he can start to settle down at a club and show his best form consistently.
Some Bristol City fans were keen to point out that his lack of impact in recent times for the Robins is not solely down to him, with one fan suggesting he could be needed for Holden’s side in the second half of the campaign. While others were more open to the prospect of him leaving the club.
Here then, we take a look at some of the best reactions on social media…

He’s such a talent to have, such a waste to let him go

Don’t blame him we treat him poorly imo. He is definitely better than Pato who hasn’t done a thing for 6 games but is still getting his chance. KP never even gets a second game in a row. He needs confidence and not to feel he has to be man of match to get game following week

Can’t blame him, something clearly went majorly wrong with him and LJ last season. Holden didn’t seem to fancy him all that much either

I’d say he is a nice to have player rather than must have. City are better as a collective at the moment
