Plenty of Leeds United’s squad have gone under the microscope in recent weeks, with Thomas Christiansen’s side suffering an embarrassing slump in form, which has seen their promotion hopes dashed by seven defeats from just nine Sky Bet Championship fixtures.

One player who has come in for plenty of criticism in recent weeks is Pierre-Michel Lasogga, the German striker on-loan at Elland Road from Hamburg for the 2017/18 campaign.

Lasogga has scored five goals from 10 appearances since his arrival, with the 25-year-old also chipping in with four assists.

However, his performances have left a lot to be desired in recent weeks, which begs the question, how much is Lasogga actually worth?

We take a look…

It's tough to say.

He started off in pretty decent fashion but recent form has suggested that is value isn't as high as it could be.

I'd say about £5m but he does have the potential and time to increase that.

Chris Gallagher

I'm still not convinced by the striker and wouldn't pay more than £5m for him.

His goal record so far suggests he should command a bigger fee, but his overall play is nowhere near up to it for me, at Brentford he was non-existent and barely touched the ball.

However, he is powerful and does score goals, although until he increases his work-rate and application he won't be as good as he should be.

Adam Simeoni

He looked good on arrival, but the German needs service to succeed, something he is simply not receiving at the moment.

He can certainly score a lot of goals at this level and I think he will come good when Leeds' form improves, but as it stands, he's probably worth about £3 million.

Sam Rourke

Around £5m-8m.

Lasogga has struggled to get into full flow since arriving at Elland Road, but when he has played well, he's looked fantastic.

If the big German striker can sort out his consistency, and frequently exhibit high levels of performance, his value will rise.
