Reports from the Mirror claim that Aston Villa are plotting a January move for Leicester City defender Christian Fuchs.
The 32-year old has become surplus to requirements at the King Power Stadium, having made just five appearances for the Foxes all season - with only one of them coming as a start in the Premier League.
Villa are short of left-backs, with Neil Taylor's absence meaning that natural right-back Alan Hutton has had to fill in in recent weeks, but if they are to land Fuchs, they would have to pay the Austrian's hefty £60,000-a-week wages, according to reports.
Here, we discuss whether Fuchs would be a good signing for Villa...

I think Villa need to stay away from this one.
Yes, they need defenders, but for £60,000-a-week, it really isn't worth it when you consider Villa's reported financial problems.
There are better options out there.

This wouldn’t be a good move at all.
Villa have to be aware of the FFP issues, even if they’ve got a possible get out with the HS2 link going through Bodymoor.
There’s far better out there, this is a bit of a mad one I’m afraid.

It all depends just how desperate the club are to land quality at the back I guess.
Fuchs is a class act and would be great in the Championship, but at £60k a week, I'm not so sure.
He would slot in nicely and bring excellent defensive awareness and dead ball delivery to the squad, but the risk reward factor has to play a part and I just don't think he's worth the money.
