With Ross Wallace set to leave Sheffield Wednesday in the summer when his contract expires, the Owls will need to start scouring the transfer market for replacements.

Over the last few years, Wallace has offered excellent service for Wednesday, racking up well over 100 appearances since his move from Burnley in 2015.

But his legs have gone now and Sheffield Wednesday need to shake things up and bring in a fresher, younger player to replace him on the wing.

Would Liverpool's Sheyi Ojo - who has spent the season on loan at Fulham - be a good option?

Here, FLW shines a spotlight on Ojo's season at Craven Cottage and considers whether Wednesday should launch a loan bid for him this summer.

Ojo has had a difficult time in West London, but this has mainly been down to his injury problems.

The exciting young wide man has managed just 22 appearances for Fulham but has scored four goals and added a further two assists for his team mates in that time.

It has been a bit of a struggle for Ojo this season but he will undoubtedly have developed a lot of mental strength as he coped with injury concerns and not being in the Fulham team all the time.

This season has not gone exactly to plan for the 20-year-old but you must take his age into consideration.

With a full pre-season at Liverpool under his belt alongside world class players such as Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, Ojo's game will surely come on a lot and he will return to another Championship club ready to improve.

The England under-21 international is a forward-thinking player and his stats show this - he goes on an average of 1.5 dribbles per game and averages more than two shots in each match he plays.

With his sort of ambition and a bit more end product, Ojo could be the creative spark that Sheffield Wednesday are looking for in the attacking department.

It is worth the Owls making a loan bid for him when the summer transfer window re-opens.
