Would this Championship man be a worthy investment for West Ham or Celtic?

There has been a lot of transfer action down at Carrow Road so far this summer.

Unfortunately for Canaries fans it has mostly been outgoings.

The club have already sold player of the season James Maddison to Leicester Cityand winger Josh Murphy to Cardiff City.

Another name that could soon be leaving the Norfolk club for big money is young left-back Jamal Lewis.

Lewis was outstanding as Norwich City took Chelsea to penalties in the FA Cup earlier in the season, scoring the equaliser late on, and has continued to impress the Norwich faithful all season.

But now he is very much in demand with West Ham United and Celtic both interested in poaching the 20-year-old, according to TalkSport presenter Geoff Peters.

Would the Northern Ireland international be a good signing for West Ham or Celtic?

We take a deeper look:

Last season was a real breakthrough season for Lewis. Having worked up through the youth ranks he managed to garner 22 league appearances for the Canaries and is set to be a guaranteed starter this season.

He is a very technically gifted player. In those 22 games, he came out with a pass completion rate of over 80 per cent.

He is incredibly athletic as well. He showed in that FA Cup clash with Chelsea that he is capable of bombing up and down the left-wing for 120 minutes, let alone 90, and is something that would be hugely attractive to both Celtic and West Ham.

He is still prone to the odd sloppy error or lack of positional sense, but the guy is only 20-years-old and to be at the level he is already is very promising.

If either West Ham or Celtic do decide to buy him it will be for a hefty fee, but it would be an investment well worth making.
