Reading are considering a loan move for Wolves striker Leo Bonatini, according to journalist Courtney Friday.

The 25-year-old has three years left to run on his deal at the Molineux, but it is understood he does not have a future at the club under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Bonatini scored 12 goals during Wolves' Championship-winning season in 2017/18, but he has made just seven appearances since promotion and was sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest last term.

The Brazilian forward only played four games under Martin O'Neill and failed to find the net for the Reds, but Reading are now reportedly considering a move for him to bolster the Royals' attacking unit.

Friday took to Twitter to announce Reading's interest in the striker:

Plenty of Reading fans responded to Friday's tweet, but there appeared to be a split verdict regarding whether Bonatini can improve the Royals' attack.

Jon Dadi Bonvarsson and Marc McNulty have both left the club this summer, and Reading now need attacking reinforcement to support the likes of Yakou Meite, Sam Baldock and Danny Loader next season.
