Aston Villa fans are waiting to hear if West Ham United see Robert Snodgrass in their plans this season as they might launch another loan bid for the winger, according to local football journalist Gregg Evans.

Snodgrass spent last season on loan from the Hammers, scoring seven goals and providing 14 assists as the Villans fell narrowly short of promotion to the Premier League.

So far in pre-season, the Scotland international has impressed Manuel Pellegrini and he even scored against Aston Villa last week in a friendly match, where he received a warm reception from the Villa fans.

The 30-year-old could be given chances at West Ham but the arrivals of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko might push him down the pecking order.

If this is the case, Aston Villa want him back on loan again for next season.

Here are a selection of tweets from Villa supporters after hearing the Snodgrass rumours.
