Oliver Burke has spoken out on his West Bromwich Albion future after what has been a turbulent spell at the Hawthorns thus far.

The 22-year-old has made only two league starts for the Baggies since arriving from Red Bull Leipzig for around £15m in 2017, enduring a couple of mixed spells away on loan.

The Scottish winger impressive on loan at Celtic last term, but he still failed to impress Slaven Bilic in pre-season and was subsequently sent out on loan to Alaves in August.

Burke has since made 20 appearances for the La Liga outfit, scoring one goal and earning mixed reviews so far, and his future at the Hawthorns looks uncertain given that they could well be in the Premier League next term.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Burke has opened up on his future, saying: "For me, right now I’d like to find myself a club where I can settle, enjoy and play week in, week out.

"And find my confidence again, which I’m slowly getting back, to prove all the doubters out there wrong."

It has been a remarkable fall from grace for Burke since leaving Nottingham Forest - he scored four goals in five league games before joining Leipzig for £13m.

Nick Hill: A real shame, I think he’s always going to be a “what if” player , following Lewis McGugan

Anthony Windross: Typical case of big time charley needs his big break! Hope he does well but don’t need his kind of attitude our dressing room

Christopher Steel: He was a very exciting player to watch and I had high hopes of him at forest. Was gutted when he left. Would love to see him back.

Daniel Cesare: Someone we could really do with in our squad at the moment! Instead we have some guy that couldn't get in the Huddersfield team

Karl Meakin: Looked a prospect but was overhyped because he was physically big for his age, hasn’t developed at all, that thirteen million looks like exceptional business in hindsight

Steve Bishop: We never should have sold him! #NFFC

Ben Murdoch: Should of never gone to Leipzig but I guess he never really had a choice as I presume old fawaz would of pushed him there for the money

Adrian Nicholas: Bring him back get rid of bench warmer Carvalho
