Plenty of Sunderland fans have reacted to a recent report linking duo Lynden Gooch and Duncan Watmore with a move to Middlesbrough this summer.
The Black Cats currently sit 5th in League One and very much have their sights set on a promotion to the Championship, but with football currently at a standstill, two players have been linked with a move elsewhere.
The summer transfer window is fast approaching and Middlesbrough boss Jonathan Woodgate is now said to be keen on bringing Gooch and Watmore to the Riverside stadium.
Boro have had a disappointing season in the Championship so far, currently sitting 19th in the league standings.

Watmore will see his current contract end at the Stadium of Light this summer, leaving his future very much up in the air, and with interest now coming in from Boro, the winger could see his future elsewhere.
US international Gooch has also been linked with a move across the North East, having performed to a consistent level this season, netting 10 goals in 33 appearances for Phil Parkinson’s side.
TEAMtalk report the news of Boro’s interest which has sparked quite a debate on social media platform Twitter, and below are some of the responses from Sunderland fans.

Watmore probably needs a new challenge. Gooch won’t leave us to go to Boro regardless of what league us and them are in.

I’d piggy back Watmore there if I didn’t think it would break his knees

No point for Gooch as Boro might well be relegated but Watmore needs a fresh start somewhere

If this is the type of players you looking at then you’ll be struggling again next season.
