Steve McLaren was delighted with his QPR side last night as they bagged an impressive 1-0 win against Leeds Utd.

The defeat prevented Marcelo Bielsa's side from going top and came thanks to a 49th minute goal by former Bristol City man Luke Freeman.

He's been the beating heart of the Hoops side this campaign and post match McClaren was full of praise for the 26-year-old.

He even claimed he was top of the Championship quality and could play in the Leeds side currently fighting for a Premier League spot.

It's a bold statement to make, especially with a Leeds side featuring Klich, Hernandez and Kalvin Phillips. Freeman is doubtless talented, but would he even fit the 4-1-4-1 that Bielsa play?

Our FLW panel discuss whether Luke Freeman would indeed walk into the current Whites starting XI.

Jay Taylor

“I think he has as good a shot as any current Leeds player to be in the side consistently.

“Freeman was unplayable last night and showed exactly what Bielsa’s side is missing at present.

“He would be a game changer in their side and a player who could win a match out of nothing.

“Freeman would be one of the first names on the team sheet for me.”

Jacob Potter

"He'd be a certain starter.

"Freeman has the quality and creativity to unlock defences with ease at times and he would be the perfect player to fill the void left by Samuel Saiz.

"Bielsa needs to be eyeing a transfer swoop for him in the summer, no doubt about it."

Louie Chandler

"He would walk into Bielsa's side.

"The club and the fans have made not secret of their need for more quality and depth in attack and Freeman has that in abundance.

"He is not of the same level as Hernandez but he is not far behind either."
