Craig Bryson could be on his way out of Pride Park if recent reports are to be believed.

The Daily Express - via the Edinburgh News - is reporting that Scottish Premiership side Hibernian are eyeing a move for the Rams man with Neil Lennon looking to bolster his midfield options at Easter Road.

The 32-year-old has been a regular starter for Frank Lampard’s men this season, playing 19 times with one appearance coming from the substitutes bench.

Bryson has already had interest from Rangers this window, with the Daily Express tipping Steven Gerrard to make an offer for the 32-year-old.

Any move could be for a relatively small fee as the Derby man is out of contract in the summer and has yet to be offered a new deal, despite his 19 Championship appearances.

Bryson’s wife is pregnant and could favour a move back to his homeland, but we asked our team of FLW writers if they feel it is the right thing for the Rams to do by letting Bryson go?

Here is how they responded.

Gary Hutchinson

“He’s started 18 matches this season, so I think they’d be mad to let him go.

“He’s clearly got a role to play, and you can’t be too careful with injuries and suspensions in the final few months of the season.

“He’s shown enough to stay put until the end of the season, to let him go now would be madness.”

Alfie Burns

“It’s a tough one, as Bryson’s contract makes things difficult.

“He’s a key part of the side, but can leave on a free in the summer, so I can see why Derby might offload him.

“For me, I’d only allow him to leave if a replacement had been identified.”

Louie Chandler

“Not until they get a replacement in.

“Derby have good options in midfield, but Bryson is still one of the most reliable in there, with the likes of Evans, Butterfield and Huddlestone suffering from frequent injury problems.

“If he is keen to leave, they should let him, but only once a replacement is found.
