Paddy McNair is a man in-demand this summer, with a number of clubs looking to lure the midfielder out of Sunderland.

McNair made 16 appearances last season, scoring five goals, four of which came in his final five appearances of the Championship season.

Brighton and Hove Albion are one club who have been looking to sign McNair this summer, but have so far failed in their attempts to sign him.

According to Sky Sports, Middlesbrough are now in the race to lure the 23-year-old out of League One, with Tony Pulis’ making a £5m bid.

Sunderland’s supporters value McNair more than the reported £5m Boro have offered, but have their eye on Grant Leadbitter, with many hoping if Boro do seal a deal for McNair, the 32-year-old is heading in the opposite direction…
