‘Would be brilliant’, ‘Great news’ – Many Birmingham City fans react to reports of potential double transfer swoop

A number of Birmingham City supporters have been reacting to the latest report from The Athletic reporter Tim Spiers that the Blues are interested in signing both Matija Sarkic and Dion Sanderson on loan.

Lee Bowyer’s side have just handed young goalkeeper Zach Jeacock a new deal at St Andrew’s. However, according to The Athletic reporter Tim Spiers, Wolves goalkeeper Sarkic is now training with Birmingham ahead of a possible loan move for the 23-year-old.

Sarkic spent last season out on loan with Shrewsbury Town in League One where he managed to record nine clean sheets during his 26 league appearances.

It seems now that Birmingham are going to take a look at him on the training ground ahead of a potential loan move for him.

It is also being reported by Spiers that Birmingham remain in the hunt for Sanderson and that the Blues are wanting to try and secure a loan agreement with Wolves for the defender.

Birmingham are facing plenty of competition for the defender, with Sunderland having reportedly already seen an offer rejected and Newcastle United also being linked.

While it has also recently been reported that Sheffield United are readying a bid for Sanderson.

Many Birmingham fans were enthused by this latest report from Spiers and believe that the double loan swoop of Sanderson and Sarkic would be good business for them.
