Plenty of Birmingham City fans have taken to social media to react to a recent report that the Blues are considering sacking caretaker head coach Pep Clotet and bringing in Coventry City manager Mark Robins as his replacement.

The Blues have made a decent start to the season under Clotet, although they are now without a win in their last five league matches. Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Millwall has left them 15th in the Championship table, six points outside the play-off places.

A report over the weekend from TEAMtalk claimed that Birmingham are set to axe Clotet - who has been in caretaker charge at St Andrew's since the club parted company with Garry Monk in June - and replace him with Coventry boss Robins.

Robins is in his second spell in charge of Coventry and guided the Sky Blues to promotion from League Two a couple of seasons ago.

The 49-year-old has managed in the Championship before and this latest report states that the chance to take charge of a club in the second tier again is likely to appeal to him.

Plenty of Birmingham fans have taken to social media to discuss the recent reports, with one supporter posting on Facebook: "Reports that Blues are about to sack Pep and bring in Robins from Coventry as his replacement... I don’t really fancy Mark Robins."

Some Birmingham fans admitted that they would not be happy with Robins, while others were quick to give their thoughts on who the club's next manager should be instead.

Other supporters insisted that there would be no point in sacking Clotet, as he is doing a good job given the circumstances. Here is a look at some of the best comments from Blues fans on Facebook...

Kent O'Brien: Hughton is sat in his armchair. Get him in.

Steve Harris: Nah can't see it happening.

Reece Wood: Two men Hughton or Jokanovic with Pep on as the assistant again, need a man motivator not a coach.

Mark Andrew Adams: Good god not Robins, utter failure at this level with Rotherham and Barnsley. Would be another Cotterill.

Craig Darby: Robins is no better than Cotterill or Lee Clark or even Pep himself.

Oliver Kro Reed: Not a bad shout from my lad who said Hughton as no compensation to pay but also dropped Lee Bowyer in the hat.

Luke Ashley McManus: He’s a nobody. What’s the point? Get Hughton or someone with experience of winning.

James Butler: Don't think Robins would leave Cov.

Tom William: Hughton wants a Prem club so he's not even on the radar.

Reece Quigley: Not being funny but we play good football, its not his fault we don't have a goalscorer up front. If we did we would be in play-offs! If we had a new manager in he would be in the same position.

Rob Howells: I wouldn't say no to Ian Holloway.

Trevor Dabek: Leave Pep alone he is gelling this side and I think he is doing a good job, just takes time. Just two good strikers and we will bomb this league.
