Nottingham Forest are set to make another approach for Sheffield United midfielder Luke Freeman, according to reputable journalist Alan Nixon.

The Reds have recently been linked with the midfielder's signature, with Leeds United also said to be interested in signing the 27-year-old.

The creative midfielder scored nine goals and registered eight assists for Queens Park Rangers last season, before moving to Sheffield United for a club-record fee in the summer.

But Freeman has since endured a tough spell at Bramall Lane, starting only three games in the Premier League and making a total of only 13 appearances for the Blades.

Hence, the midfielder has now been linked with a move away from Sheffield, with two promotion-chasing sides in Leeds and Forest said to be interested in the playmaker.

Forest are now reportedly set to make another approach for Freeman, as they look to add more guile and flair to their midfield.
