Sheffield Wednesday are on the lookout for a new manager after Steve Bruce was finally confirmed as the Newcastle boss earlier this week.

The former Sunderland chiefs decision to walk out on the Owls with the season under three weeks away was controversial and it has left Dejphon Chansiri in a difficult position.

He has to find a new boss and one man who has expressed an interest in the vacancy is current assistant Lee Bullen, who is in caretaker charge for Wednesday's upcoming friendlies.

The 48-year-old took over on a temporary basis last season as well, whilst his passion and love for the club is clear to see.

Given those factors, combined with the fact he knows the current squad, reporter Alan Biggs suggested that Bullen could be the right man to succeed Bruce.

However, it's fair to see that idea did not go down well with many Wednesday fans who want a more experienced man to take over.

Here's some of the reaction on Twitter...
