West Brom manager Slaven Bilic may have led his side to the top of the Championship but that has not stopped him looking to add to his squad in the January window, with a move for Huddersfield Town front-man Karlan Grant being considered, according to a report on Birmingham Live.

Grant has only been at the John Smith's Stadium for 12 months, having arrived from Charlton Athletic in the last winter transfer window.

The 22-year-old has already scored 12 goals so far this campaign, and his form has alerted promotion chasers West Brom.

So, what do you make of this potential deal? Would it be a good addition for the Baggies?

Jordan Rushworth

“This could turn out to be a perfect signing for West Brom to help give them some extra added fire power, which could make the difference in getting the Baggies over the line in the race for automatic promotion this term.

“Grant has certainly shown he can be a real threat to Championship defences, having performed really well in a struggling Huddersfield side and managing to score 12 league goals already this season, which suggests he could thrive off the sort of service that West Brom provide for their strikers.

“The striker, though, would face a battle to earn a place in West Brom’s starting line-up, given both Charlie Austin and Hal Robson-Kanu have been in good scoring form over the last few months, but Grant has the flexibility to play across the forward line or alongside one of the Baggies other forwards.

“It would be interesting to see if West Brom were to secure his signature, with Huddersfield likely to be very reluctant to lose their top scorer this month, but the Baggies could tempt him with the prospect of potential Premier League football next term.”

Josh Cole

“This would be a sensational signing by West Brom if they can convince Grant to make the switch to the Hawthorns in the coming weeks.

“One of Huddersfield’s stand-out performers this season, the forward has illustrated that he is more than capable of producing the goods at Championship level.

“If the Baggies do end up achieving promotion, it could be argued that Grant is ready to make the step up to the Premier League given that he scored four goals in this particular division as part of a poor Terriers side.

“By joining West Brom, there is no reason why Grant cannot take his game to new heights under the guidance of Slaven Bilic who has a great track-record of getting the best out of this players at club and international level.”

George Harbey

"This would be an incredible signing and a massive statement of intent for West Bromwich Albion in their bid for promotion, if they managed to lure Karlan Grant to The Hawthorns.

"Grant has established himself as one of the best strikers in the division this season, scoring so many goals for a Huddersfield Town side that have struggled for the majority of the campaign.

"He is an up and coming talent who has plenty of potential, so if West Brom were able to tie him down to a long-term deal then it could be a huge coup.

"He didn't look out of place in the Premier League last season and got himself on the scoresheet a couple of times, and he is a proven goalscorer at this level too.

"With Charlie Austin and Kenneth Zohore failing to find the net on a regular basis, this could be an outstanding January addition for the Baggies."
