Speaking to West Brom News, former Baggies striker Kevin Phillips has suggested that Josh King should be one that the club looks at signing if they are promoted to the Premier League and Bournemouth are relegated.
A player that has proven himself in the top flight over recent seasons, perhaps he would be a strong addition to a side looking for an attacker, then, but what do some of our writers think?
Let's take a look...

King would be a fantastic addition if the Baggies can get it done. West Brom have been excellent this season but question marks remain about their striking options. Are Charlie Austin, Hal Robson-Kanu and Kenneth Zohore the right men to help them succeed in the Premier League? I'm not sure. There has been talking of King moving to some big clubs this summer, so the Baggies will do very well if they manage to secure the 28-year-old's signing. It's an ambitious one and would be a real statement of intent.

West Brom definitely need to bolster their attacking reinforcements as they gear up for a potential return to the Premier League next season, as I don't feel that Hal Robson-Kanu, Charlie Austin and Kenneth Zohore are capable of firing in the goals to keep them up.
King may not be too much of a prolific goalscorer, but he is a speedy attacker who knows the Premier League really well indeed, and he has still managed to find the net on a regular basis on a number of occasions for AFC Bournemouth. It speaks volumes how Man Utd wanted him back in January. King can also play anywhere across the frontline which potentially makes him even more of a useful option for the Baggies, so he can even drop into midfield in order to help Albion gain control of games. I think it would be a really good addition and it would make more sense for them to spend the money on King, rather than on an unproven talent like Vedat Muriqi who doesn't know the English leagues.

It would be a real coup if they could reach an agreement with AFC Bournemouth to sign King.
He’s a player that has really impressed me this season, and I would be surprised if he was to move to West Brom, even if they were to win promotion into the Premier League this season.
King will surely be wanting to move to a club that are in a better position in the Premier League, as he’s certainly got the ability to be playing regularly for a team in the top-half of the table.
Bournemouth are struggling this season though, and if they were to be relegated, then I would be very surprised if he remained with the club heading into next year’s campaign.
The Baggies should certainly make an offer for King, but like I say, I would be very surprised if they were able to beat other clubs to land his signature.
