Swansea City have suffered a blip in form in recent weeks, with Steve Cooper's side down to ninth place in the Championship having picked up only one win in their last five outings.

This has prompted Cooper to consider strengthening his squad, with a move for Liverpool youngster Herbie Kane on the cards, as exclusively revealed by us here at Football League World.

So what do you make of Swansea wanting Kane? Would he be a good fit at the Liberty Stadium?

We discuss.........

Jacob Potter

"This could be a useful addition to Steve Cooper’s side this season.

"Kane really impressed me with Doncaster, and I think he’s a player that’s more than capable of making the step up to the Championship.

"He was unlucky not to win promotion with Doncaster last season, but will surely be tempted by a move to Swansea, who are challenging for promotion to the Premier League this term.

"The Swans could do with strength in depth in all areas of the pitch, and I think that Kane would provide them with that for the remainder of this year’s campaign.

"It’s good to see Swansea making early movements ahead of what could be a season-defining transfer window for them, as they look to make a timely return to the Premier League."

Dean Cooke

"He'd certainly be a very good signing for the future, and if they could snap him up for a small sum ,then it's a fairly low risk signing for the Championship side.

"He impressed at Doncaster last season, and was so pivotal in their run to the play-off semi-final, and it was somewhat surprising to see them not try harder to loan him back for another season.

"I think Liverpool probably know that they made a mistake not loaning out the 20-year-old this season, especially after watching his development, so to sell him now to a Championship side isn't out of the question.

"He has a good passing technique and also isn't afraid to do the dirty work, so could be a really good fit for the type of system that Steve Cooper is trying to play in Wales."

Louie Chandler

"I think this would be an excellent signing.

"Swansea appear to be running out of steam a bit at the moment so bringing in somebody with plenty of energy to boss the midfield makes sense.

"Kane is only 20 and lacks experience in the Championship but having impressed with Doncaster last season I would say he is worthy of a shot.

"January looks set to be crucial if the Swans are to keep up their push at the top of the table."
