Robert Glatzel was on the score-sheet for Cardiff City yesterday as they beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 in the Championship.

The game was all but settled after just eight minutes at Hillsborough, with early goals for Glatzel and Junior Hoilett.

It was a fourth goal of the season for the German and his second in four games this month having missed the start of Neil Harris' tenure through injury.

Lee Tomlin's quick thinking from a free-kick gave the 25-year-old the chance to open the scoring yesterday, and he finished smartly past Cameron Dawson in the Wednesday goal.

Being Neil Warnock's marquee signing in the summer, Glatzel didn't quite hit the ground running and soon enough it seemed like a pretty null acquisition from the ex-Cardiff boss.
