Fulham are set to compete with Nottingham Forest and Wolves over the signing of Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon.

According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, via Nottinghamshire Live, the London club are interested in signing the Wales international this summer.

Here we ask our FLW writers their verdict on if the 24-year old would be a good addition to Marco Silva’s side…

Adam Jones

Although his lack of first-team football will be a concern, he certainly has plenty of promise and would be worth taking a risk on if they can secure a cut-price deal for his services.

The 24-year-old still has room to grow and could be a useful asset alongside Tosin Adarabioyo, who may benefit from having a different option alongside him in their quest to stay afloat in the division.

This is an area they certainly need to address, so for fans of the Cottagers, this is a promising sign and they will be hoping a deal for the defender can be wrapped up quickly.

Considering he's unlikely to be at the forefront of Antonio Conte's plans next term, he could easily be sold in the next couple of weeks and that could benefit Marco Silva's side who will want signings in as quickly as possible.

This would be a solid signing for Fulham ahead of the new season. The defender was solid with Swansea and gained game time and experience during his time with the club that will assist him now.

He clearly has talent but has trailed off since joining Spurs and he is in desperate need of some regular game time again which Fulham would be able to offer him.

Although he hasn’t played much at Spurs, he has been around a ground with the Premier League mentality for a while which will have helped strengthen his own mind.

This is a move that feels like it could help the player get better which in turn would make it a good signing for Fulham and what they need to compete at this level.

If Fulham are indeed looking to strengthen their defensive options this summer, signing Rodon could turn out to be a good bit of business by the club if they can secure his services for a reasonable fee.

Since joining Spurs in 2020, the defender has struggled for game-time in the top-flight as he has been limited to just 15 appearances at this level.

Rodon will feel as if he has a point to prove in the Premier League following a lack of opportunities at Tottenham and thus could provide some serious competition for Tim Ream and Tosin Adarabioyo in the heart of Fulham's defence.

By delivering the goods on a consistent basis for Fulham, the Wales international could potentially help the club achieve a relative amount of success in the top-flight.
