Birmingham City moved to within three points of the play-offs on Saturday after an impressive 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest at St. Andrews.

Jota gave the home side the lead with just 13 minutes gone, latching onto Lukasz Jutkiewicz's fine flick before finishing emphatically into the bottom corner.

The Blues continued to have the better of the proceedings but could not find a second with Forest growing into the match more and more.

But when Reds' centre-back Yohan Benalouane handled the ball on the goal line, Che Adams had the chance to put plenty of transfer speculation behind him as he made it 2-0 from the spot in the 93rd minute.

It was a result that obviously pleased manager Garry Monk massively as well, taking to Twitter to express his joy.

This was the latest in a long line of incredibly spirited displays from Birmingham this season and is one the fans enjoyed massively as well.
