Compared to previous transfer windows at Aston Villa, this summer transfer window was subdued as Steve Bruce placed an emphasis on quality and experience rather than sheer quantity.
The most notable arrival for Aston Villa this summer was John Terry who made the decision to drop down to the Championship to join up with Steve Bruce.
Other notable signings saw the likes of Robert Snodgrass arrive from West Ham United and also Ahmed Elmohamedy from Hull City, which further added experience and leadership into the spine of the side.
However, despite making some excellent signings, there still appears to be some gaps in Aston Villa’s squad that Steve Bruce has failed to plug.
Whilst the transfer window has now shut, there are still a number of unattached players who could provide the necessary cover if given the opportunity.
