Leeds United midfielder Eunan O’Kane seems to have been a victim of the Marcelo Bielsa revolution at Elland Road.

The 28-year-old is yet to feature for the Championship side this season having played a pretty regular part of the previous season, making 32 appearances.

O’Kane has not received a squad number this season with Bielsa deeming the midfielder surplus to requirements.

With the transfer window closed, and the only alternative being the loan market, the Leeds midfielder will be hoping to move away from the Yorkshire club to get some regular first-team football.

A club that could do with the services of a midfielder would be Queens Park Rangers.

They have only managed one signing this summer and have a somewhat inexperienced side.

With Luke Freeman and Massimo Luongo in midfield, their first choice pairing is all they have and should one get injured it would leave them vulnerable in the middle.

Should QPR make a loan move for Leeds' Eunan O’Kane before the deadline of August 31?

We discuss…

Alfie Burns

He’d add some Championship experience, but I don’t believe O’Kane has the energy to run a midfield at this level.

Technically, O’Kane can be very good, but he gets bullied.

QPR need a strong leader in the middle of the park, which I just don’t think O’Kane is.

Chris Gallagher

He could do a job.

O'Kane wouldn't be a great signing as he has seriously struggled at Leeds.

However, he would add to a thin QPR squad and has experience which they need.

It's also a big chance for the player who needs to get away from Elland Road.

George Dagless

It's worth a look.

I don't see him having much of a future at Leeds, but he does still have experience and industry to add to the right club.

QPR need options in their squad with knowhow and O'Kane seems like the ideal sort of player to help bring that.

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, absolutely.

He’s a bottom half Championship midfielder, and there’s no denying that, but then QPR are a bottom half side, so it fits.

McClaren needs to bring experience into that squad, quickly.

He’s got exciting young players, but he needs guidance, know-how and a bit of steel. Leeds fans would laugh at me for saying this, but O’Kane could bring that.

I am concerned he’s had Ryan Manning on the bench for the opening games though, I’m not sure he knows his best side there at present.
