‘Worst I’ve seen’, ‘Useless’ – These Birmingham fans slate one player’s performance v Nottingham Forest

Two teams that really needed a win to try and push themselves away from the relegation zone had to settle for a point at the City Ground today as Nottingham Forest faced Birmingham City.

Forest probably needed a win more than the Blues did and it was by no means a ‘six-pointer’ but Chris Hughton will be left rueing what might have been.

Aitor Karanka surprisingly didn’t revert to a back five to try and contain the game, and though Forest did have more of the ball they failed to make their chances count.

For Birmingham, the main positives were not only a clean sheet but the first start for Croatian midfielder Alen Halilovic, although he was withdrawn at half time due to injury.

They’ll be hoping that it’s nothing too serious, but they’re also quite disappointed that they weren’t able to take all three points back to the second city.

There’s one player that seems to have taken the most criticism of all though and that is centre-back Marc Roberts.

The 30-year-old is not rated too highly by some Birmingham fans and many let their feelings be known about his performance on Twitter during and after the match.
