Queens Park Rangers midfielder Ebere Eze has turned quite a few heads recently, he's now reportedly being targeted by Premier League sides Brighton and Crystal Palace.

Eze started the season out on loan in League Two with Wycombe Wanderers, but since his return to Loftus Road he's been in exciting form.

He's been likened to Rangers legend Stan Bowles and has found himself amongst the goals, most recently as Ian Holloway's side beat Norwich City 4-1.

West London Sport report that the two Premier League sides sent scouts to that match to check on the 19-year old, who scored five times for Wycombe from 16 starts.

Palace sent their Sporting Director Dougie Freedman, whilst former Blackburn defender Ian Pearce watched on behalf of Brighton in his capacity as a scout.

They won't have been disappointed as the Greenwich-born youngster added QPR's third goal on the hour mark, as well as turning in an exciting display which had manager Ian Holloway purring with delight.

"He’s very exciting," Holloway told West London Sport. "I want him to create goals and score for us. I’m very pleased with him. He’s a wonderfully balanced, intelligent boy and he wants to learn. He glides and he floats. Ebere just beats you so easily. I want to encourage him to get in there and the team to give it to him."

The Verdict

Ebere Eze is certainly causing a stir in West London, Ian Holloway has been waxing lyrical about him for a few weeks now and it seems the Premier League clubs are paying attention. He won't have been the only player Pearce and Freedman were looking at, but he will certainly have caught the eye with an intense and exciting display. Ebere Eze; remember the name.
