It's fair to say that Aaron Tshibola's career has not gone how he would've envisaged since his £5m move from Reading to Villa Park at the start of last season.

The midfielder failed to impress Steve Bruce and now finds himself out on loan at MK Dons in League One.

However, he isn't faring much better there.

The Birmingham Mail caught up with Toby Lock, the sports editor from the Milton Keynes Citizen who delivered a damning verdict on the 22-year old.

There was a lot of excitement when he came in because of the price tag and he was expected to be the main man in midfield but he hasn't lived up to expectations. He has gone missing in a lot of games and he needs to do more to give the impression that he's committed to the cause.”

This will be worrying news for Villa fans who would've hoped Tshibola could flourish whilst out getting regular games.

He was recently sent-off after just five minutes against Bradford City in what was the quickest dismissal of the season and his reputation with his new fans is severely suffering.

The fans have had enough of him.”

The Verdict

Aaron Tshibola arrived with great hope at Villa Park but looks to be an incredibly bad signing.

The fact he is majorly underperforming in League One is worrying indeed and it's hard to see where his career goes from here.

Fortunately, he has time on his side and he will need to change things quickly in order to give himself any chance of a future at Villa Park, which looks completely out the question at the minute.
