Bolton Wanderers have had their fair share of troubles both on and off the pitch in recent seasons, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better anytime soon.

The Bolton News have revealed that the Bolton players and coaching staff haven’t been paid today, which will surely come as hugely frustrating for everyone involved with the Championship strugglers.

Ken Anderson is attempting to sell the club at this moment in time, believed to be the Football Ventures (Whites) group, and it’s had an effect on the wages being paid this month.

This isn’t the first time we have heard of this situation, and Bolton supporters will be hoping that Anderson finalises his move away from the club as quickly as possible.

It hasn’t been much better off the pitch either, with the Trotters struggling to stay afloat in the Championship this season.

Phil Parkinson has been under pressure from the club’s supporters recently, and it remains to be seen as to where his future lies if Bolton are to be relegated.

The Trotters are currently sat 23rd in the Championship table and are one of the favourites to be relegated to League One this season.

But the off-the-field troubles seem to be having an impact on their performances which is the worst possible scenario.

The Verdict:

"What a ridiculous set of events this is.

"How are the players going to have a motivation to play if they aren’t getting paid?

"I would be absolutely furious if I was any of those players, and Ken Anderson is well and truly destroying this club.

"The sooner the takeover happens, the better."
