Bolton Wanderers are really struggling this season both on and off the pitch with their financial worries getting worse and worse by the day.

The Bolton News have revealed today that their game with Millwall has been cast into doubt over an unpaid catering bill which could disrupt their plans ahead of their game this weekend.

The Trotters must make sure they pay the £250,000 fee to match-day and catering staff, otherwise the game could be postponed.

Heathcote and Co have been Bolton's catering supplier since 2013, but they will suspend business at 3pm today ahead of a meeting with the employers to discuss their future plans.

It is feared that they will withdraw their services completely if Ken Anderson doesn't pay the bill in time ahead of Bolton's game this weekend.

This isn't the only issue that Anderson faces, as the match-day staff has also not been paid their February wages, which hasn't gone down well either.

The players are back in training today, but they were told to stay away from the club's training ground yesterday due to a food and supplies shortage according to the Bolton News.

This is the worst possible preparation for Phil Parkinson's side ahead of what is going to be a potentially season-defining game at The Den against Millwall this weekend.

The Verdict:

You have to feel sorry for them.

No-one want's their club to be in such a poor financial position midway through the season and this latest update will be a huge concern.

I'm not even sure if they'll be able to fulfil the fixture list if this carries on.
