Many Hull City supporters have been suggesting that the Tigers could be in real danger of suffering relegation to League One this season, following their 3-0 defeat at Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.
The Tigers were comfortably swept aside by Blackburn in the second half, with three goals in the last 17 minutes condemning Grant McCann’s side to a potentially damaging defeat, and Hull are showing clear signs of starting to really struggle due to a mixture of injures and loss of form and confidence.
The defeat at Blackburn means the Tigers have now lost five out of their last six Championship matches, and they had to come from behind to ensure they picked up a point at Reading last weekend, which has left McCann’s side looking over their shoulders at the relegation zone with 14 games remaining.
QUIZ: Can you name the club these 14 ex-Hull City players are playing for now?
It has been a real torrid start to the New Year for Hull, with McCann’s side suffering ever mounting injury troubles and also having been forced to sell Kamil Grosicki to West Bromwich Albion and Jarrod Bowen to West Ham in January, which has left the Tigers without their two most influential attacking players.
However, despite their current problems, McCann’s side do still have a ten point cushion to the relegation zone, meaning that they are still in a reasonably strong position to ensure they pick up enough points to avoid the drop this term, but they will need a positive result quickly to arrest the current slide.
Here then, we take a look at what Hull supporters have been saying about the club’s chances of being relegated this term on social media…
Let's hope they have enough points to stay up! Talk about going into free fall.

Down hill !! Going to be a tough run in to the end of the season. Can see more results like tonight heading our way

I honestly worry for our chances of survival this season. I don’t see a source of goals anywhere, and this injury list just keeps growing and growing.
And if we do stay up next season could be even worse.
Worrying times… #HCAFC

14 more games can we get enough points to stay out of the relegation zone, we need players back but I’m worried we will rush them back and cause more problems, I think we need to change system due to injuries aswell #hcafc

We genuinely could go down, can’t see us scoring many goals at all. & I like George Long n all but you cannot deny that despite making many top saves a game,he literally throws one in every week. Midfield poor, two cb’s limited but not the problem, shocking up top as per #hcafc

Anyone else looking forward to a weekend in Blackpool next season or is that just me? Might just have to come back for that. Absolutely abysmal tonight, this’ll be the longest second half to the season we’ve had for some time.. #hcafc

Well… this is going to be the longest preseason ever. Just the question of which league we’re preparing for at this rate. #hcafc
