‘Worry for our chances’ – Many Hull City fans deliver worrying assessment on current standings

Many Hull City supporters have been suggesting that the Tigers could be in real danger of suffering relegation to League One this season, following their 3-0 defeat at Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.

The Tigers were comfortably swept aside by Blackburn in the second half, with three goals in the last 17 minutes condemning Grant McCann’s side to a potentially damaging defeat, and Hull are showing clear signs of starting to really struggle due to a mixture of injures and loss of form and confidence.

The defeat at Blackburn means the Tigers have now lost five out of their last six Championship matches, and they had to come from behind to ensure they picked up a point at Reading last weekend, which has left McCann’s side looking over their shoulders at the relegation zone with 14 games remaining.

Who does Liam Cooper play for now?

It has been a real torrid start to the New Year for Hull, with McCann’s side suffering ever mounting injury troubles and also having been forced to sell Kamil Grosicki to West Bromwich Albion and Jarrod Bowen to West Ham in January, which has left the Tigers without their two most influential attacking players.

However, despite their current problems, McCann’s side do still have a ten point cushion to the relegation zone, meaning that they are still in a reasonably strong position to ensure they pick up enough points to avoid the drop this term, but they will need a positive result quickly to arrest the current slide.

Here then, we take a look at what Hull supporters have been saying about the club’s chances of being relegated this term on social media…
