Worry for Norwich City as Southampton, West Brom monitor in form star

Published

Norwich City got a much needed win over Sheffield Wednesday last time out as they reminded us of what they can do.

The Canaries have been pretty frustrating this season as when they are good they can beat anyone but they have also been liable to letting things slip.

Even so, they’ll feel as though they can get something out of the game with Leeds United this weekend.

Whilst we wait for that, though, it seems as though a fair few sides have been taking a look at their on-loan, in-form midfielder Ben Godfrey.

Godfrey is currently at Shrewsbury Town and has excelled as the club have challenged at the top of League One this season.

The likes of Southampton, Swansea and West Brom have all apparently watched the player in action – according to Sky Sports – and so Norwich may be worried that a bid is imminent.

Norwich, of course, might feel as though they can challenge them in offering Godfrey more first team football once he returns but a Premier League offer is always tough to turn around.

The Canaries, then, had better get on a hot-streak ASAP.

The Verdict

Godfrey has really excelled in League One this season and has evidently caught the eye.

Norwich might like him back now, then, but it remains to be seen whether or not they can actually pull that off.
