Queens Park Rangers suffered their biggest defeat for more than 31 years at the hands of West Brom and signaled their worst-ever start to a season.

Having gone in level at 1-1 at half-time, Rangers collapsed after the break, conceding six second-half goals.

Rangers have conceded seven goals in a game for the first time since defeat by the same 7-1 scoreline in May 1987 against Sheffield Wednesday.

Steve McClaren has seen his QPR side ship ten goals in their first three league games, scoring just twice and the result leaves them bottom of the Championship table without a point.

So do the QPR fans have serious cause for concern?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

I think so.

If they weren't concerned before they will be now.

West Brom were good but QPR really fell apart and the nature of the loss should deeply worry R's fans.

They need to pull themselves together asap.

Jay Williams

Yes, I would be extremely worried about this weekend's result.

Some of the mistakes being made were amateurish and the players need to be ashamed of themselves.

QPR did not get their summer transfer business right, they have lost their opening three matches (including a very heavy defeat against West Brom) and relegation looks a real possibility.

Unless something changes soon, and new players come in on loan, I can see the Hoops continuing to struggle.

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, seriously.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a few weren’t worried before.

The summer has seen little movement, but farming out Ryan Manning was beyond bizarre. Why on earth would a manager do that?

I give McClaren three months.

Jay Taylor

Worried is an understatement.

The defeat was embarrassing, albeit a freak result, that sort of performance should not be tolerated.

I’m sure if I got that result on Football Manager, I would be sacked, so McClaren is lucky he has a chance to rectify that deplorable performance.

The fact QPR imploded in the second half is a worry. Where was the fight? Where was the desire and commitment?

You can’t legislate for a defeat of that nature but the manner of the loss should be of huge concern to the fans who saw a side give up. And that is simply not acceptable.

Christian Fuller

Queens Park Rangers should be worried, but not just because of the sheer amount of goals.

Heads dropped early in the West Brom clash, which is cause for concern, but the seven conceded should not be the main factor in why to worry.

After the flood gates opened, it almost felt like a lack of effort ensued, causing further goals to be conceded. Whilst it was an embarrassing display, it might not be as bad as the score line suggests.
