Charlton defeated Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night in a hard fought 1-0 victory to claim their first win on their travels since the end of August.
Lyle Taylor’s 24th minute strike settled the two sides at the City Ground, with Charlton holding on at the death to seal a priceless victory in their fight against the drop.
The result could be the kick-start Charlton need to turn the corner away from home, after eight previous defeats on the road.
It also lifts the club up to 19th in the league table, six points clear of the bottom three.

The main talking point of the game was the assist for Lyle Taylor’s goal from central defender Naby Sarr.
Sarr made a run down the left flank, and whipped in an excellent cross for Taylor to latch onto.
The club showed how they felt about the assist on their official Twitter account:
🎥 @nabysarr or circa-2001 David Beckham? 🤔

The delivery did have shades of David Beckham about it, and these Addicks fans had a lot to say about that moment of brilliance…
