Leeds United captain Liam Cooper will be available for Saturday's trip to Sheffield Wednesday, which has left many fans of the Yorkshire club ecstatic.

Cooper has been missing since he picking up a hamstring injury in the 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the start of October.

The club had previously predicted that the central defender would miss six weeks due to his injury, however, it appears he will be ready much sooner.

Speaking to Phil Hay from The Athletic at a press conference ahead of their match against Wednesday on Saturday, Bielsa revealed that the defender would be available for the game.

It was also revealed that midfielder Jamie Shackleton, who has also been missing since the Baggies game due to injury, would be available for the visit to Hillsborough.

However, Bielsa confirmed that Adam Forshaw is still out and revealed Pablo Hernandez was close to a return.

Cooper has been a key player for the Whites this season, starting every Championship game when fit and forming a strong centre-back partnership with Ben White.

His return is good news for Leeds ahead of a tough test against Wednesday. Garry Monk's side have picked up 14 points from their last seven games and are currently third, just one point behind the Whites.

Cooper's potential return has been well received by Leeds fans, many of whom took to Twitter to express their delight.
