Wolves are set to rival fellow Championship club Queens Park Rangers in the battle for Arouna Kone's signature, according to a report on page 47 of Tuesday's print edition of the Sun newspaper.

The Everton frontman has found himself very much on the fringes at Goodison Park so far this season following the arrival of Ronald Koeman, as manager and would no doubt welcome the opportunity to escape the club in the hunt for first team football.

QPR are said to be keen on the experienced striker but with West London Sport reporting that Arouna Kone earns £40,000 a week at Everton, Wolves may have jumped into pole position.

The 33-year-old has proved himself to be a very good finisher throughout the years and would no doubt be a star man in the Championship.

Kone first arrived on these shores back in the summer of 2012 when signing for Wigan Athletic, he went onto have a brilliant first season, netting 11 Premier League goals in 34 appearances.

Kone has also represented the likes of PSV, Sevilla, Lierse, and Levante throughout his career and would bring bags of experience to Molinuex.

Wolves fans, what do you make to this potential incoming? Would Kone improve your current crop of strikers? Let us know your thoughts!
