Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle is set to turn down the advances of Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to the Sports Mole.
Gayle has been identified by Wolves boss Kenny Jackett as the man to lead the line for the Molineux outfit next season and was prepared to part with £6m for the frontman.
It has now been suggested however, that Gayle is not keen on dropping down a division and would instead prefer a move to Bournemouth, who will play in the Premier League for the first time next season.
Eddie Howe is looking for a renowned marksman as he plans an assault on Premier League survival and feels that Gayle could be a key player for the Cherries.
The 25-year-old has found first-team football hard to come by at Selhurst Park since the arrival of Alan Pardew as the club’s new manager.
The ex-Peterborough United striker has netted 18 goals in 54 appearances for the Eagles.
