After voting closed for the Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award in the Championship, it's been revealed Wolverhampton Wanderers star Leo Bonatini has won by a mile.

In a poll run by fan engagement experts Snack Media, who are overseeing the monthly awards this season for the four top divisions in English football, the in-form forward took the award with a 56% share of the vote, beating the other five nominees for the accolade.

The striker has been an integral part of what Wolves have done so far this season with him hitting five goals in October - the joint most of anyone for the month - as the men from Molineux continued to prove the team to beat in the title race.

The men from Molineux have one of the best attacks in the division and both Wolves fans and those of other clubs in the league appear to be well aware of that, with Bonatini storming to victory ahead of Bolton's Sammy Ameobi who achieved 17% of the vote.

The other four contenders were Bruno Ecuele Manga of Cardiff City, Bonatini’s team-mate Diogo Jota, Massimo Luongo at QPR and Sunderland striker Lewis Grabban, with the voting break down as follows:

 Leo Bonatini (Wolves) – 56%

Sammy Ameobi (Bolton Wanderers) – 17%

Bruno Ecuele Manga (Cardiff City) – 10%

Diogo Jota (Wolves) – 7%

Massimo Luongo (QPR) – 7%

Lewis Grabban (Sunderland) – 3%
