Wolverhampton Wanderers star man Ruben Neves insists that his decision to stay at Molineux is one that he expects to be good for his future.

In an interview with O Jogo reported by Sport Witness, the Portuguese midfielder stated: “I feel very good at Wolverhampton, I have no reason to leave because I’m going to play in the best league in the world.

“I spent a great year there and I love playing at Wolverhampton. Therefore, I have no interest in going out, because it’s the best for me and for my future.”

Fellow Portuguese native Nuno Espirito Santo guided Wolves to the Premier League this season, winning the Championship title with 99 points.

Ruben Neves, who played 42 games for Wolves this season, scoring 6 stunning goals, added: “I came to evolve as a player and now that I’m maybe in the best phase of my career it would be a very big risk changing club. This is the right path.”

The Verdict

Ruben Neves has been at the very forefront of speculation surrounding his future at Wolverhampton Wanderers so far this summer, and it's probably safe to expect it to continue.

But, this interview seems to give a definitive answer on the matter, with Neves seemingly happy at Molineux – at least for the time being.

Certainly, it will only make Wolves fans happier as it reaffirms their strong belief that he's going to be going nowhere this summer.
