Speaking to Wolves' official website, John Ruddy has been looking ahead to the club's latest fixture with Norwich City - a game that holds special significance for him.

Both sides go into this game on the back of a weekend defeat with Norwich losing to Derby and Wolves losing to QPR respectively, so there is going to be a lot riding on it. Indeed, both will feel as though their promotion chances could be impacted by another loss and so we should expect a pretty attacking game.

For Ruddy, then, it's going to be a game of big importance but he has been clear in underlining where his allegiances now lie after switching Norfolk for the Black Country in the summer.

He said:

"It’s another game. It will be nice to go back and see some familiar faces but I’m a Wolves player and I want three points.

“Norwich is a big club and it’s a special club to me, one that gave me massive opportunities but, at the same time, I’m a Wolves player now."

Typically of a professional as good as Ruddy, the three points is all that matters over any sentiment and though he should get a warm reception from the Carrow Road crowd, all he'll really be hoping for is a clean sheet and a win to get Wolves back on track.

The Verdict

Ruddy has looked an astute signing for Wolves this season and it is still a surprise that Norwich seemed to let him go quite easily.

Nuno Santo's men won't care that they did, though, and if the away side is to get three points tonight, you feel as though Ruddy will have to be in good form.
