Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Danny Batth has called upon his side to show more of the same character that they displayed in the closing stages of their victory over Brentford in midweek, according to The Express and Star.

On Tuesday night, Wolves were trailing 1-0 at Griffin Park and it looked like they were heading towards yet another loss amid a relegation battle.

However, two goals in the last five minutes from Matt Doherty and Helder Costa ensured a complete comeback and three vital points for Wolves.

Their 26-year-old homegrown captain said:

“The boys showed great character and we need to see more of that this season – we’ve not seen enough of it.

“There’s obviously jubilation at the end but we’re not getting carried away.

“It’s just a stepping stone to where we want to end up.

“We need to focus on Saturday’s trip to Craven Cottage.”

Wolves return to West London this weekend to face another tough trip against play-off chasing Fulham, who are on good form and are eight unbeaten.
