Wolves are reportedly lining up a £7million bid for Cardiff City forward Kieffer Moore, according to Football Insider.

Moore has been with the Bluebirds since 2020, and has gone on to score 21 goals in 47 appearances for the Championship side over the years.

That includes 20 goals in 42 appearances for Cardiff City last term, although his efforts weren't quite enough to see them force themselves into the top-six in the second-tier standings, as they finished eighth in the table.

Football Insider claim that Wolves are in the market for a striker before the summer transfer window reaches a conclusion, with Cardiff City reportedly willing to cash-in on the Welsh international, as they look to raise funds.

A move to Molineux with Wolves could tempt Moore, with Bruno Lage's side being an established Premier League side, since winning promotion into the top-flight in the 2017/18 season.

Wolves are currently sat 16th in the Premier League table, after they were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

Moore and his Cardiff City team-mates are set to return to action on Tuesday evening, when they host Brighton and Hove Albion in the Second Round of the EFL Cup, in what is likely to be a tricky test for Mick McCarthy's side.

The Verdict:

This would be a smart signing by Wolves.

Moore has shown that he's more than good enough to be given a chance in the Premier League, having impressed in the Championship for a number of seasons now.

It is a surprise to hear that Cardiff are willing to cash-in on him though, as you would have thought that he'd be a key player to have in Mick McCarthy's squad, as they look to challenge for promotion into the Premier League themselves this term.

It'll be interesting to see what the Bluebirds' valuation of the Welsh international is though, and their resolve could be tested in the coming days it seems.
