Sky Bet Championship club Bolton Wanderers want to ease their striker crisis by completing a loan swoop on league rivals Charlton Athletic for Igor Vetokele, according to South London Press.
Bolton aren’t the only club keen on the striker with Wolverhampton Wanderers also thought to be keen to try and secure the player should he become available.
Vetokele enjoyed a fruitful first season in the second tier of English football and the 23-year-old netted 11 goals in 35 games.
It is thought that Charlton boss Guy Luzon is keen for the Angolan to stay at the Valley, although the manager is aware of the interest from fellow Championship clubs.
Any temporary stint away from South London is not likely to be imminent with Charlton currently without striker Simon Makienok, who is not thought to be ready to return for Saturday’s trip to Cardiff City.
The player was signed by former manager Bob Peeters at the beginning of last season from FC Copenhagen, and impressed many at the Valley.
The Addicks have endured a mediocre start to the 2015/16 Sky Bet Championship season, having amassed nine points from eight league games.
The London club are currently winless in their last four league games, and Luzon will no doubt be hoping the side can pick up a valuable three points at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.
