Wolves could be set to land former England 'keeper John Ruddy, according to the Express and Star.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper was released by Norwich at the end of last season, and he now looks set to secure a move to Molineux, becoming the club's seventh signing of the summer.

Ruddy has bags of experience in both the Premier League and at international level, and he could be a vital capture for Wolves, especially with the news around Carl Ikeme's illness breaking earlier this week.

Wolves are looking to bounce back from a disappointing season last time out, and will see the experience and quality of someone like Ruddy as the ideal capture to go along with the big money signings of Willy Boly and Ruben Neves.

Ruddy has made well in excess of 350 appearances in what has been a hugely successful career, where he made his name with the Canaries following a move from Everton.

The 'keeper will be hoping to add his experience to the Wolves line-up and assist in guiding the club at least towards the top six after what was such a disappointing campaign in 2016/17.
